NJSDA PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS
SESSION INFORMATION
This year's End of Year Performance Photo Sessions will take place on April 27th, May 3rd and May 17th!
We are so very excited to create these special portraits for the 2025–2026 season and cannot wait to capture the incredible talent and dedication of your dancer. This is a wonderful opportunity to preserve these memories while also supporting a meaningful cause; session fees will be donated to the New Jersey Civic Youth Ballet. Please note that time slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our sessions sold out completely last year, so we highly recommend booking sooner rather than later.
Portrait Session Details
- Each portrait session is 10 minutes.
- Dancers with 1–2 costumes should reserve one session.
- Dancers with 3 or more costumes should reserve two consecutive sessions if they would like to be photographed in more than 3 costumes. If a second slot is not reserved, we will photograph a maximum of two costumes.
Dance Portrait sessions will be divided into two groups to ensure a smooth and organized process. Please take note of the scheduling details below:
MORNING SESSION: IA, IB, IIA, IIB
Dancers in these levels should schedule their session in the morning block.
- Ballet: IA, IB, IIA, IIB
- Contemporary: II
- Jazz: I, II
- Musical Theater: I, II
- Tap: IB, IIA, IIB
AFTERNOON SESSION: Levels IIIA, IIIB, IVA, IVB
Dancers in these levels should schedule their session in the afternoon block.
- Ballet: IIIA, IIIB, IVA, IVB
- Contemporary: IIIA, IIIB, IVA, IVB
- Jazz: III, IVA, IVB
- Musical Theater: III, IV
- Tap: III, IVA, IVB
We kindly ask that you schedule your dancer’s portrait session during the designated time block for their level. This division will help us provide the best experience for all dancers. Please bring your costumes and plan to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session, with hair and makeup fully done and ready to be photographed.
